Hey Atomic81

That sounds awesome, finally good news regarding this issue!!
Because the lack of that feature I had to split on two accounts.

My problem: If I have songs and FX or Logos mixed in my portfolio, a potential customer looking for a motivational song will stuck after the 3rd FX and think there’s nothing for him there. It’s way too time consuming for him to click through the entire portfolio and he will not be satisfied after searching a long time.
The same would happen on VH portfolios.

From that point of view it would be very important, that a visitor of a portfolio NEVER sees the entire portfolio sortet by the last uplaoded item, but from the beginning just the categories he has to choose first.
IMHO it’s a absolute non-sense to show the entire portfolio sorted by date!!

It really should be similar like it is now when I search for an authors name, but all the categories provided by the author should be visible at all time to keep the overview.

Example: When you look for this: http://audiojungle.net/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&term=matsteiner you’ll see ‘Music’, ‘Logos & Idents’ etc.
But after clicking on ‘Logos & Idents’ the ‘Music’ disappears. This should never happen.
The ‘show all’ button is o.k., but it should be hidden down on the bottomline :P

IMHO it’s the most important that the customer never loses himself in a sub-sub menu, he should always keep the overview over the available categories and it should be very easy to jump between those.

Thanks a lot for your work and I really really hope this will be changed soon!!

I appreciate your enthusiasm but bumping the thread won’t really make a difference :) The Devs are looking into it, so there’s not a need to keep the thread near the top. Thanks!

“the devs are looking into it”. sadly, this seems to mean the same as a simple “no”.

It would be so easy and so useful.

as we are currently talking about adding more facets to the search result pages, I’d like to bring this thread up again.

I already said how good the cost-benefit ratio is here, as not even new code needs to be written. It’s practically a copy-paste job, but still we have to wait months for it.

The fact that threads like this one are getting ignored is the reason why every day more authors are really annoyed from the way you handle things and don’t take anything serious what you announce…

I’m seeing a lot of new features added to the marketplaces which is a great thing. Still, this one here requires almost no work and has great benefits for authors and buyers.

I would LOVE this feature. Especially if I could manage categories myself – create, name, re-arrange order of them and so on.
