Anyone else notice the new link under our comments, “Request Staff Reply.” This could be rather helpful as I’ve noticed several authors complaining about the staff not getting involved in certain threads.
Perhaps we should start using that link. It’s down there ||||||||||| ................................................................................VVVVVVV

It’s been there for a few months
It may have been called Flag for Staff or something like that however.
But the name was changed and now there is a separate link that’s for flagging next to it, it looks like. That’s why it looks different. What’s the difference between “Request Staff Reply” and the flag link next to it?

That flag icon really needs a title attribute tooltip at the very least. “Flag as Inappropriate”. Just a flag with no explanation seems overly generic.

Yup I mentioned this – a flag could mean anything (winner? I like this?) and no rollover tooltip means people will guess or worse of all simply click to see – I thought they hired UX specialists?

Okay, so it looks like the new changes are just differentiating the requesting os staff responses between something that’s inappropriate and just a general question to an issue, whereas “Flag for Staff” attracted both cases? I agree with sevenspark here, it needs a “Flag as inappropriate.” I’m going to hit the “Request Staff Reply” under sevenspark’s comment and see what happens!!
Edit: Someone beat me to it! “The message has already been flagged for a staff member to reply.” Haha.
