As I am sure you are all painfully aware, we’ve been having several compounding problems with the review queue. Today we deployed a number of changes which we thought would resolve the issues but we are getting reports that there are still problems – primarily with the updates queue but also with the ‘soft rejects’.
The complexity of the problem means that it is unlikely we will be able to resolve this within the next 24 hours. Until we’ve resolved the root cause I’ve taken the unfortunate step of asking the reviewers and site managers to hold off reviewing new files or file updates. I apologize to all the authors with files waiting in the review queue and hope we can get on top of this issue as soon as possible.
I’ll update this thread as the issue evolves.
