Hi guys. I just wanted to start this thread to help new authors understand that: 1) Reviewers are NOT our enemies 2) How to deal with rejection

I understand how it feels to have your item rejected after spending hours working. Is NOT nice. But most of the time (we are humans :), the reviewer is right. And in my experience the final result was always 100% better that my first submission.

Feel free to share your experience to help new authors understand that is not a war agains them :)

tks guys

Here’s what you need to know on ThemeForest:

- Kailoon is a machine. Kind of like HAL 9000 , but with good intentions.
- Ivor is a lawyer.
oh and this applies to everybody:
- rejections = self improvement = better file quality = more money for you.

Couldn’t agree more. Even my last rejection is now about a year ago I’ve learned a lot with the advice of the reviewer.

Take a rejection as an opportunity, a chance to improve your skills and not as a failure!

Just posted this on another thread, but one more time:

Being rejected is totally ok for me, I don’t take it personally, I’m not angry or frustrated since that’s how this works and it is good how it is. But I wish there will be more details in the rejection reasons.

My first rejection I got was very good because the reviewer explained what specifically is the problem with the project. From that you can build upon an like you said, make a better project.

But with sentences like “doesn’t meet our criterias” nobody knows what’s the problem.

I agree… i’m gonna remark here… this is NOT to talk or give info about reviewers, but to encorage & help new author understand better how this process works.

Are you serious? Everybody knows those things, they’re PUBLIC … Look up what ‘calling out’ actually stands for and relax a little, it’s not like I shared something private …
First one is called a joke, because he is very efficient. Second is a public fact.

Anyway, let’s stay on topic.

I can agree with you here, and i’ve dealed with this issue. But also consider that they deal with thousands of files, and if they have to explain in detail the why and the how… well we would wait weeks before getting our item approve.

Agree with you.

Will be nice for authors to get more than “dont meet criteria”... :)
