For Theme Forest staff:
I have difficulties to communicate with reviewer without uploading any changes to my items. Not to chat about trip on Mars of course, just sometime to clarify things, sometime to answer on questions and avoid constant back on 10% or less progress bar and waiting.
I think that will be helpful for both sides, authors and reviewers. With new tab and simple notification about message.
Is there any chance in 2013 to upgrade that system and add regular communication tab beside ‘History’ tab? And to be able to basic format messages, at least to add strong, list, add links etc.?

Would be a great feature! But i doubt you will get any cool feetback from anyone that could actually get some stuff moving.
I don’t think that’s a good thing for both of the parts… i know a lot of people who are talking too much and never to the point. 
We totally agree. Seems like it’s nearly impossible to get solid feedback on soft-rejected items.

It’s a market, not a school and reviewers is not a teachers.

- 100 to pebas. this is the marketplace, not a free educational center. reviewer’s job is to review. if there’s a potential in theme – reviewers are highlighting what things exactly needed to be improved. if not – that means that you need to WORK HARDER.
Who said anything about education, teachers etc? 
If an item is already soft rejected there is no reason to wait “reviewing” like newly uploaded theme, from there is idea to have one more tab beside history where regular communication about an item can exist, that should clarify and make cleaner whole reviewing process. Not sure how you can’t see advantage of that system, but who cares, no?

This will slow down the whole review process, you know, going back and forth with everybody, everyone complaining because we don’t respond in 24hrs, slower reviews, a complete mess. 
We already have that “regular communication” system and it’s called Envato Support. Sure, you need to wait 24hrs+ to get an answer because: a) there are 2100+ TF authors, b) there are 2MM+ marketplace users c) there are 8000 TF items — you get the idea.
Each author is responsible for their item, just make sure your themes comply with our rigorous theme review requirements before submitting them for review. We base our reviews in the WordPress Theme Review guidelines http://codex.wordpress.org/Theme_Review
