As if the devs on Envato did not have enough to do. I’d like to see what you guys/girls think of the idea of adding a Rich Text Editor, y’know the kind that allows you to headline, bold, add images…stuff like that, to the Item Description area when uploading a theme.

Anyone else want this or feel their item descriptions would benefit because of a feature like this?

I prefer writing the HTML myself. When I write a description for a product, I don’t write them when I’m actually uploading the file. I take a good bit of time writing the copy in Word (so it’s grammatically correct) and then putting into a text editor and and massaging it around until I feel it looks right. So, by the time I get to the upload screen, it’s more of a copy and paste for me.

And as a general sidenote, I hate dealing with WYSIWYG ’s :-P

I agree with themeblvd, I much prefer writing HTML for my item descriptions. WYSIWYG ’s can be a pain and not render correctly as well.

HTML is a much better, and freeing way of writing the item descriptions in my opinion. :)

I’d say no to this, but I would love if we could preview our item before submitting so we can prevent having to have to resubmit for a small detail.

Changing your description doesn’t involve the item being sent to the reviewer. You just make the change, save, and the item updates right away.

Some people say no, some people say yes – then maybe a toggle option to make everyone happy? :)
