Hi. I just purchased for the first time a mobile template for my website. It cost $25. I paid with my credit card. When done, I downloaded the app but it doesn’t work. Its just a large directory with no .exe file to start the program. 5 minutes later I went online to the themeforest.net website, and the exact same program now cost $10. So not only did they change their fee for the app in just a few minutes, but the app doesn’t even work. And I just joined the ‘Envato’ group. Do I hear the word S C A M ??? Martin

When it says “app” it’s not referring to a .EXE file but a template you use for a website that requires a domain and a hosting provider, you seem to be confusing the terminology. There’s no marketplace that sells operating system applications.

Hi Martin, I’m sorry to hear you are having trouble. As Matt kindly mentioned, the item you’ve purchased, as stated in the item page, is a WordPress theme and not a standalone application. It is intended to work in conjunction with WordPress.

If you feel you’ve made a mistake, and purchased the wrong item, please be so kind to contact support and they’ll gladly look into it. Let us know if you need any further assistance. Thanks.

Ok, I appreciate the reply. Two problems: When I downloaded the mobile app, it doesn’t tell you how it works in word press, even after I extracted the files. Secondly, why in heck would theme forest change the price of something they are selling, from $25 to $10 in a space of 5 minutes? Pretty sad IMHO. Martin

It’s very unlikely the price changed from $25 to $10. More likely you are looking at two different versions of the same product – a WordPress version and an HTML version. WordPress versions cost more.

EDIT: I see you’ve named it now, thanks

There are two versions of the mentioned template/theme. One is $10, and the other (WordPress) is $25.

My Mobile Page V2 is available as both a WordPress and HTML product

The WordPress version still costs $25

The HTML Template costs $10

They are two different products and their prices have not changed.

You would install a WordPress theme to your existing WordPress installation. There is no exe required.

Does that help explain the situation?

EDIT: Haha sorry I see Dzinc has this covered, I’ll leave it to you :)
