Rolling on the floor laughing!

Imagine reading a personal message from a stranger and not being able to guess wether this person was joking, completely serious or seriously challenged. This is what happened to me today.

I am really glad that you like my template. I’m sure it would make a fabulous video for your girlfriend and I’m also sure she would really love it! I put many long hours over many weeks into making the template so that the videohive community can appreciate a high quality product at a very low price. I make these templates because the modest income from the sales helps me pay rent, put food on the table and pay off my student dept. Fahd, what you are asking me to do is: 1. Asking me to do what I do for a living for you for free 2. Asking me to act illegally, it is considered piracy and breaches my agreement with videohive

On a moral level, I cannot give you something for free that others are paying for with their hard earned money.

Sadly, it’s a pretty prevalent attitude that anything that’s digital and on the internet is free and that anyone charging money for such stuff is just trying it on.

Maybe it’s slightly offtopic, but the other day I went on one freelance website where I was working before, couple of years ago, just for fun to see the quotas that people give for projects. And in one of the projects, client stated that he needs advanced 3D work and provided a sample from youtube, 3D animation which he showed wasn’t done below $50.000. Clients budget, below $500. What’s even more funny, there was couple of guys that applied for the job I don’t get it
