In some cases, updating means less performance. Maybe in this idea some ppl do not update their browsers.

Certainly not the case when it comes to IE.

The point is that IE has damaged the brain cells of developers and that wont be forgiven soon.

But I highly doubt the problem with legacy IE usage being high is developers :P

I dont know if this update would make a difference in IE’s market share. According to w3schools IE is on a down hill allong with firefox.

I think we have to take those statistics with a grain of salt because Microsoft says IE6 is still 6%

You’re right. Sad about Firefox too. Is still my browser of choice but only because of Firebug. It seems when they shifted to pumping out a release every few months things started going downhill.

I use it bcs of FireBug, and because I hate Google’s logic: let’s put styled outlines on every input element, so we make more mess for developers and more ugly UX to users. And Opera is right after IE with incompatibility, but other than that and no FireBug, I like it most.

Guys why we always forgetting Microsoft is top best software leader, yeah we had very bad experiences with IE, time, money and client satisfaction loss. But yu know peoples mostly using ie in specially corporate sector. They don’t installed any browsers and specially some software, web application and websites as well only works in IE, One of my client he is doctor in U.S he told me that we don’t want to open are organization website in different browsers.

So i think if corporate sector using IE then there is no chance the END of IE.

Whatever the market share for IE is, it is due to n00bs on the internet who don’t know how to download another browser and we are made to support IE by themeforest :( The % of people using IE would not be even knowing how to write a html page! :O I think that might change for some people with IE 10 but I am not in for it unless it has got a large number of developer tools like chrome or firefox :D
