Has anyone had this?

I just had my file bought and literally INSTANTLY rated as 1 star. ( i know this because all my previous ratings were 5 stars as i was told via email or in the comments ) and now the overall rating has dropped to 4 stars instead of 5.

I am sure it is an author who has done it in order to make my file seem worse than theirs and TBH i think it is very unfair.

Beyond annoyed over here and just wanted to know if this is happening to anyone else.

They didnt even have time to open the FLA mate.

I was browsing the forums, noticed my balance had increased, found it was my video player, and when i arrived on the page i had 7 votes where as moments ago when i was on the page i had 6.

So from purchasing to rating the time was no more than 60 seconds.

devil’s advocate here…maybe someone who purchased your file earlier decided to vote, and it happened to get cast 30 seconds after the last sale? I just cant see another author spending money to hope that a lower rating on your file will raise sales on their file. Especially now that they need to make back the cost they just spent to buy your file.

When an item has been voted for a small amount of times it has a greater effect on the ratings just like Ebay, the more you sell the less affect it has when you gain bad feedback.

Maybe im abit bias but i think your just totally clutching at straws there Mark. I can’t see a reason why the file would ever gain a 1 star. If it were a sh*t file then fair enough but it ain’t so….

maybe they rated 1 star accidentally? or to be stupid? it’s just one persons rating opinion. In time it will even out so no worries dude. anyways I think most decide the rating on the level of support than how good the actual file is so I’m not too concerned with the ratings – sales are what counts and of course the cash
