I am using this amazing Chrome extension – Envstats. There is one thing that really puzzles me about my weekly sales graph.
I get 60% of my total sales on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
I get 0% of my total sales on Fridays
    On Sundays, it’s 5%

So it seems that the sales are hugely biased towards Tuesdays and Wednesdays. But what is even more surprising is the Friday sales. What are your corresponding figures?

Well then even Wednesday would be great. Also, I had no plugins or updates since two weeks, so sales this week are just 20% of the first week sales. I hope it stabilizes here.

Sales depend so much on the views, which fall down to 30 something a plugin per day after a week or two.

Its probably the drop off rate before the plugin is no longer featured on the home page. Less people search the site for specific plugins so the view rate decreases. Need to do some marketing i think.

Yep, precisely. From 500 views a day to 30 – sales had to die off. I wonder if they would gradually fade out altogether.

How do the CC veterans do it? How many pageviews do they get for plugins? and how much share belongs to external referrals? Would love to know :)

Would be nice if CC top page showed not only new items but the latest updated items as well.

Your idea have both positive & negative parts, that will encourage authors to update their items more often, but also might not work as intended, for example I could update my item with 3 line of css code changed just to show my item on the first page.
