Hi people! I’ve been searching for a free piece of software that doesn’t start adding nagscreens or similar watermarks, but can’t seem to find one, do you know of any? I would need it for capturing some speedpainting videos and tutorials in photoshop… I really have no need for ubercool buttons, settings and so on and so forth, just a rectangle or fullscreen recording capability. If you know of any FREE program, that’s not WAREZ or cracked, I would be much obliged if you’d let me know.

I really can’t believe that every youngster posting silly videos on youtube has actually either bought the software or has the cracked version… there must be a free yet option-naked alternative.

Hope I posted this in the right category.

Best regards, Contrastblack.

One slight hang though… 5 minutes is the maximum clip time I think… (didn’t really try it yet, but as far as I saw, that’s the longest clip I could find.)

I’ve just started using ‘Jing’ http://www.jingproject.com/ It’s easy to use with great quality but also has a max time of 5 mins. Final format is .swf They have a free version and a pro version ($14.95 per year)

I tried out http://www.screentoaster.com/ first but you have to upload the file. The beta version looks good, but it kept on giving my Mac errors (will be good when they’ve worked out the bugs)

Yes the limit is 5 min’s but that all you need, as you need to think about their server space.

If one video is say 1gb and 10,000 users they get monthly record a 5 min video thats 10,000GB of space they need.

I know I exadurated the figures but for a website I think theat 5 mins is ample if i need more i use camstudio :)

You can use the trial, i’m not sure if it has a watermark though.
