I’m just over here on PhotoDune looking for an image for an upcoming cinematic track I am releasing soon….
Going through a lot of pictures however, I find it would be really great to have the search box at the bottom of the page as well as the top.
Many times I get through a page and what I have searched for isn’t yielding what I am really looking for. I change keywords a lot – and it would just make it that much easier not having to scroll back to the top of the page every single time
It might seem small, but it would keep me on the site longer to look
I think this is a great idea. I don’t think any stock agency has that feature so far. I would speed up the search process.

Interesting idea, sounds like it should be pretty easy to implement. I will tell Jason, the product & design manager, to see what he thinks!

Great
Thanks for the consideration! I am finding myself over here more and more so it would be super handy.
Overhauling search is one of the major projects the dev team is currently working on, stage one is replacing the current service with Solr (currently only PhotoDune is running on Solr), once all the Marketplaces are on Solr we’ll be moving onto the part I’m most excited about which is introducing tailored facets per marketplace.
Here are a few examples from some early concepts (so subject to change) to give you an idea of where we’re heading.

Thanks Jason, this is great!
Once this (or it’s polished version) is released it will automatically stop 50% of threads haha.
Note to self: Add “sexy party music” to the tags of one of my songs .lol.
Exiting stuff going on with Solr. One thing I also noticed with the current search is that you don’t have the option to search or filter by layout (vertical vs horizontal). This would be a great addition and judging by the screenshot of solr posted it could easily be added as a filter. Just a thought to make things a bit easier for us. Thanks for considering.
I just signed up to become an author (yay!) and have been perusing the forums, the search seems to be a pretty standard question, and I see promises of an updated search dating back to the beta of PhotoDune. Any update, or potential time-frame this will be ready? As somebody who has spent literally thousands on Graphic River, I know that as a buyer the search could lead to better usability.
Just wanted to find out if there was a light at the end of the tunnel…or the tunnel was still being developed
