search engine optimization tips?

Im just curious to know how you all SEO your websites…

I understand that the title and H tags are important and contribute. Also incoming links etc…. But would it mean you put your website links in forums (that allow signatures) and where you can and go over the top to ‘advertise’ your website??? Where do you do it? Blogging would be a good way to promote one’s website, right?

SEO has become rather reliant on quality backlinks in my opinion. There are even entire companies dedicated to giving you high ranking backlinks. Besides that, an easily navigate-able (by a spider) is a good way to get good search rankings.

Use the propper tags, use headings, use good content, use good title, try to use a good url name, these are some basic things

About links: the source of the link is more and more important. Forum signatures is not the way to go nowadays.
