Any of you guys have any experience with this? Is this something easy to achieve for (Flash) Developers?
If not, what other legal possibilities exist to work from one of these countries?

I’m french self-employed in UK, there are no extra steps whatsoever to be self-employed if you are from EU, same process as if you were british.
I am self employed in the UK – all you have to do is register with HMRC and file a tax return every year. You do have to make a payment every 6 months, based on the previous year, which can catch you out. Also be aware we have pretty high taxes here.
Thanks for that. How’s it going? Are there more jobs there than in France?
Well I wouldn’t know as I had left France long before I even got into Flash, but generally I don’t really look for work locally, most clients are from US, although the few UK ones do pay well
Chuckanucka, taxes will compensate with the large budgets and number of projects one can get. So that will probably be fair.
LGLab, good for you, hehe
To work in the US you would have to get some kinda work permit or visa, then file your taxes every year, which start around 28%. I work for myself in Southern California, there are plenty of jobs here for programmers, I just choose not to take one cause I like sleeping in
I used to live in Santa Monica, now I’m in the Orange County area. How about you?
Hard task to get a visa for US. Maybe EU should put visas for americans as well, hehe.
(or are there?)
