I’ve recently just started twittering, setup a themes preview site, back linked all my themes within themselves and my other sites and have been staying active on alot industry blogs trying to gain some traction.
What is everyone else doing?
nothing lol
random twit here and there but not alot tbh.

We seem to get quite a few people from outside Envato coming onto the Flashden forums and doing the exact same thing with links to their own marketplaces … we call it spamming
^ that`s not spamming… anything like that is good for all authors on here as it brings more people to FD.

lol I’m not one of those guys throwing links into comments (hate that, deal with it everyday on my sites), I’m just talking about the link from my avatar and name to my site or sometimes if its appropiate throwing a link into the comment.
Even though most blogs use rel=”nofollow”, I guess im just hoping for the few random curious users that click through

How is that good for Flashden authors? When it happens admin usually delete the links.

That’s a cool way to do it. Definitely not spamming.
This is me so far:
- Files still in queue on Adobe Exchange.
- Own page on SoftPedia.
- Attempting to get a listing on HotScripts (affiliate seem to be a problem)
- searching for some other scripts sites which accept linked listings.
- Announcments on personal portfolio website/blog.
- Section in “Work Samples Brochure” PDF which contains affiliate links.
- Only recently twitting so thats quite limited at the moment!
- Not really doing the other forums stuff, as I just don’t have the time.
Nothing else as of yet. Have been waiting to be listed on Adobe Exchange for what seems like ages. Its quite frustrating. I could do with some clickthroughs.
If anyone else knows of some good sites, they should post em, as the more visitors to Flash Den the better.
-google seo! most difficult but very important. -google adwords used to help but int.l crisis is definately showing itself in sales. -adobe exchange listing helps -software sites listing help, but maybe not relevant for enveto authors, it improves google page ranking.
Nothing special. Some topics on designers / web developers magazines.
