Hi is there anyone has experience with .psd templates selling on themeforest just want some info 1. photoshop cs5 or older version 2. resolution ppi for psd file 3. bit depth 8/16 4. minimum width 5. maximum width
I haven’t sold PSD ’s templates, but my advice would be:
Do you create website designs for clients/friends of yours? There’s no website on your profile, so I will assume you do. So therefore – how do you setup your Photoshop file to create a website design?
From the things you said, I would suggest:
- Whatever version of Photoshop you have, just mention its compatability in the file info
- 72 DPI – this is computer screen resolution
- 8 Bit will suffice – you don’t want majorly large file sizes
- Width depends on your design. A lot of people work from grid systems, some people work specifically to target mobile devices. Choose what you feel is needed for your file.
- See above
Hope that helps.
Cheers,
Kate
Have in mind that the PSD category is the hardest one to get in, so don’t get discouraged if you get rejected, you can give a try at HTML and WordPress with the design that doesn’t make it there.
