You now about that situation:

You spent some weeks or some months of work on your own Theme (site Template, etc ) and in final Reviewer write for you: Your template design is not good…... And you need to start again your development process from design (and the code should be altered(rebuild)!)

My question is: May I send (Can I send) to Reviewer first just design screenshots ONLY? (without code in main.zip file and without link to preview HTML Page)

In this situation Reviewer spent 1-5 minutes (he looks just screenshots!) and send a very simple message for us (for Themeforest Members): You design is good. You can go to the next stages of development.

I decided to write this question after reading this message: http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/theme-rejected-help-please/65062?page=4#579607

This message has a text: “We usually check, the screenshots -> live preview -> download and install the included theme -> rest of review, in that order in order to judge the quality. Keep in mind that each subsequent step is attempted only if the previous step shows a quality enough design. “

Sorry, my English speech is not good.

The only way to do that is to first create a PSD template item. If that gets approved sure the theme will. But mostly a PSD item needs higher design quality than a theme.

Further there’s no option to first let a design be checked.

+1, usually if design is ok, the reviewer will tell you to code it and it will be accepted (even if PSD is rejected)

Have I understood you correctly? :

for example: I want to do a Landing Page Template. If I need to receive approval(about design ONLY) from Reviewer – my actions shall be as follows:
1. PSD file I sent to Reviewer ( Reviewer from “PSD template” category).
2. I need to prepare a special message for Reviewer: “Dear Reviewer! I want to use this design on Landing Page Template. May I start coding it for Landing Page category?”

Or is there a better way ? – - – How to prevent a Reviewer from category “PSD templates”, that I’m asking him to approve the design for the category “Marketing”->”Landing Page”

Just do not want to spend time coding design that will not pass approval.

I hope You or someone else help me with the answer. Thanks.

Real example: this is my first work on Themeforest with hard reject I sent it in the categoty “PSD template”. But I want to coding it for “Landing Page” category. Ok, it is bad for “PSD template” category. Is it bad for category “Landing Page” too (also) or not? How shall I know Reviewer’s opinion only about the design?

You do not have to submit anything before coding it for submission. The advice above is that if something is accepted as a PSD file only then it is likely to get accepted when it is coded up (assuming the code is good)

Looking at your file it would be FAR better coded and submitted as HTML or WP. The design is good but not really for sale as a PSD category.

I would advise you write the code and submit it as HTML. Good luck
