Hey guys / SEO gurus,

Almost 2 weeks ago I had an item disabled because of some file errors ( never underestimate support ! )

Now the item is ready, patched and ready for reupload. What bugs me is – that item page was a top result in google for the target keywords – will 2 weeks page deletion badly affect the ranking or will it go to the previous position ?

Thanks!

It might not revert back to the ranking straight away, but if it has the identical content as before then it should receive a pretty close ranking to before. Let us know how it goes after a few weeks.

I think the question is does Google penalize instability. For example, if a website forgets to pay its hosting, and suddenly Google is presented with 404 pages for a month, even if the site is restored, would the site get penalized afterward? Don’t know the answer but am curious if someone knows.

^ What might happen (not very detailed): http://www.seroundtable.com/google-site-down-rankings-13874.html

What to do about it (doesn’t really apply to ZoomIt’s situation or hosting issues though): http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/018873.html
