What you can do also to avoid having the same user polluting your comment section, is to report systematically all his new threads (especially if you think they are abusive). Just reply to the new comment asking him to use the reply button situated at the bottom of his first posted comment, and then you can report it for the same reason.

That way all their comments will stay in one thread, and when people read the comments it will also be easier and cleaner to read and follow.

You really don’t need to argue too much in answer or talk about your private life (saying that your wife is pregnant etc). Keep it very clean and short. You don’t need to write paragraphs of arguments to reply to a person that seems to enjoy writing non constructive comments. If you do so you are entering in their game. And that’s also not really good in my opinion to have your comments section polluted with arguments or long texts.

I believe users prefer see constructive comments, positive comments, or real questions about the items. Things that could help them out, not things that they don’t really care about. That’s why it’s better to keep any arguing private or by email, and contact the support to report an abusive behaviour.

That’s just my advise.

Yes please flag the comments and make sure you open a ticket with Support about it. We’ll take care of it :)

Thanks again for words of support everyone, but it’s still happening, so if any member of staff wants to take this on soon I’d appreciate it lots.

I’ve just had to report a comment from one of the main culprits now who is threatening me with legal action (apparently he say’s he’s already spoken to the FBI ) and has found and printed my home address!!!

Stay calm and stop replying to him. Instead ask him to contact support and get a refund. It costs money to sue someone, it costs money to have a lawyer send a letter, and in this case I would bet my breakfast that his attorney will tell him since there are no monetary damages he has little hope for a financially viable outcome even if he wins in court.
FBI is not going to take interest either if it’s not on a major scale. And in this era of technology it’s very easy to acquire someone’s home address. And what this guys is doing is called Cyber Extortion. That itself is a crime. I’m not a lawyer but I know my rights.

It’s ok I’m not replying to anything they say now, just reporting them.

Shame about the FBI not knocking on my door though, I always fancied Gillian Anderson.

Hi guys, I second Travis, please always flag and report abuse to staff. We certainly don’t tolerate abuse on our forums or in the item comments, regardless of who is posting. The faster you alert us to any abuse, the faster we can act to resolve this issue. I also want to be clear that this policy refers to everyone (authors and buyers) and if you are repeatedly warned about your behaviour your account will be disabled.

I also reported this yesterday at 07.07am Ticket ID: ZLC -360-17539 Subject: Abuse in item discussion Department: Marketplaces Type: Issue Status: Open Priority: Medium

I was wondering what action envato will be doing? And there was another post 4hrs ago that suggested the items support site had been hacked and taken down. Luckily the poster is a half-wit, and the site was still up, but again just causes more aggro for the author.
