Well I checked out the Official ‘Post your desktop’ Thread! thinking it was going to be for desks/workspaces but it wasn’t so I thought I would start one. I’m in the process of planning and building a custom office desk so I’m looking for ideas. Plus, it’s always fun to share and see other people’s workspace. 
Here’s my temporary setup until the new desk is built.
A bit of info: Yes, that’s a cheapy folding table. In fact, it was so weak that I had to put a slab of wood on the back half to support the iMac and other stuff, lol. I can’t use the wood desk on the left because it doesn’t work with my office chair so my girlfriend uses it occasionally (it’s actually hers anyway).
I didn’t want to spend any money on a new desk after I moved unless it was a desk I really wanted. I can’t find one that I really like, so I’m building one. Here’s my idea(s) so far, suggestions welcome.
I’m going to build a desk frame from Kee Klamps and order two custom pieces of 1/2” tempered dark grey or black tinted glass. Then I’ll just mount the glass to the Kee Klamp desk frame. It has to be two pieces due to how large it will be (over 8’ wide). That’ll give me the modern / industrial look I want with a low profile desk surface to slide the desk chair slightly under (unlike thick wood desks). 
When I get all the materials and build it, I’ll take lots of pics along the way.
