Dude Ikea. They make the best desks in the world.– but I do agree that Ikea is a great place for pre-built and make ya own desk “stuffs”.Yeah, I’ve looked at Ikea and I just can’t find anything that I really like. Part of the problem is I want a glass only surface because it’s thin so I can roll the arms of my chair slightly under it and rest my palms on the front. It’s comfy that way. Plus, I love glass (even though it shows dust really bad) and I haven’t been able to find something simple, industrial but modern.
Another problem is the size and shape of the desk I want is not something anyone will have, lol.
I like the glass but a glass deskworkspace? hmmmm…..

If you looked online at Ikea.com that’s not good enough – you need to go in-store – they have way more stuff.
I remember seeing some really nice industrial legs (galvanized steel) and glass tops for sure… maybe worth a day trip? You can pick and choose and create your own with their desks.

Yeah, I wasn’t sure on the idea at first either but a long time ago I bought a desk from Office Depot with a glass top and I loved it. Ever since then, I haven’t been able to find another desk I really like.

Ohh, that’s a good point. Unfortunately the nearest one is over in California. It’d be more than a day trip but my gf and I have been wanting to go visit venice beach before it gets too cold so that would be a good excuse to go to Ikea.

I guess it depends on how much weight you would need it to support. Tempered glass is really, really strong, especially 1/2” or greater. Well, strong for glass but you wouldn’t want to try to stand on it or something, lol.
My desk is still in the old room in my house.
.............
It’s probably the worst you’ll ever see.

When I’m sitting down I see;

Why I haven’t moved upstairs (42” plasma)...

My wanna be desk space (In bedroom);

And yes, the desk is from IKEA

............
Not that great. And yes, it’s a PC
Mine is unbelievably messy than the rest of yours…
