Shouldn't there be a "Top Buyers" page in the Marketplace?

The idea of going to a website, purchasing things, and all of a sudden being publicly listed on that website on some “this person has bought from us!!” list doesn’t even begin to sound even remotely acceptable at all, let alone good.

Good motivation for them to buy more items

That is bad people with 1-9 purchases said no. I with my 300 purchases say yes.

hehe, they are not bad guys, they are authors with occasional purchases. The reason for saying “no” is eventually to help buyer’s privacy. Otherwise there is nothing problem with honoring loyal buyers.

And motivating buyers to purchase using “Top Rank” target is like death to business ethics.

Then we cant show for privacy authors too right ? What is bad on showing top buyer list? Then Envato must hide autor profiles with 1000+ purchases ?

But there is a question – If staff approve we can expect it after year 2015

^ Author and Item details are necessary to present enough data to Buyers. That’s different and without those data the marketplace will look like desert!

As a buyer I simply can’t see the benefit to authors and this site whatsoever. To those authors who think it would be beneficial to them I would like to ask how they would use that information.

No, some of them might not want to be known, and the real question is: what’s the benefit for the marketplaces of having the a top for the buyers? to be honest I can’t find any reason to do this.
