If you use Google Chrome you probably use ‘SpeedDial’ which shows your chosen links when you open a new tab, you can customise the images used by linking to images. Here’s my efforts, I’ll fix it up when I have more time….anybody else done this or am I alone like a Billy no mates?

hold on...

The DeviantArt logo is a custom job starting from a PSD freely available on DeviantArt (search for DeviantArt fella PSD ).

I’ll show mine a little later since someone is using my laptop at the moment.

@RobbyDesigns I’m curious why you have a link to google on your speed dial?
- Do you not like typing into the Omnibox?
- Do you, like me, have problems when other people use your machine and keep entering google.com

Just curious, Joel

Hi Joel, once I’ve launched Google Chrome I have no other way to get back to Google other than to hit the little ‘Home’ icon; for ease of use – and because I often open most of my speed dial links at the same time – I use a link to Google instead. I don’t share this computer.

Ah fair enough, I guess it seemed strange because I never visit the google homepage.

I know what you mean about opening most of the links at the same time, I do that!

The speed dial on my laptop is very very [boring / minimal / typographic] : Speed Dial on Chrome - jvardy-laptop

Also worth a note, for the custom dial images, I use the data URI scheme, so it works when I’m offline – no hassle uploading ect…

I’m slowly converting to Chrome but some habits are hard to break. :)

Bahh… I like chrome, but FF is still king for me – most reasons are plugin, theme, or simply personal preference/workflow based… One that bugged me last time I checked was the inability to edit page content on the fly via firebug lite, like you can with full Firebug in FF – that supported yet?
