I visit themeforest everyday and i hope for a simple but beautiful NEWS theme (without flash but with jquery newspic-slider; like the itunes-one in codecanyon). i look for month now. there are of course a look of great themes.
but how about a newstheme without excerpt? a design like http://www.engadget.com/?
i know a lot of friends who have also a news blog and also keeping an eye on new releases fitting that specs.

Outta that entire list, I personally think “Black Aperture” fits the bill best.

thanks for the replys.
looks nice – its nice but there is no really “news stream” just some small boxes
http://themeforest.net/item/black-aperture/43052 looks too heavy – is too heavy.
i know and checked every wordpress theme themeforest offers. everyone. the only one who comes close to the style i want/need is http://themeforest.net/item/marketplace-community-wordpress-theme/68073
i think there are so many themes with just “too much”. too much rounded corners. too much boxes, too much gradients, too space inefficient
i think there is a need for more “apple style” news themes. straight, light designs, efficiant space management, white backgrounds

Hate to burst your bubble but apple uses rounded corners too? =)
Maybe more efficiently than others, but they still do.
yea sure, but its still clean design ^^
wow, you`re looking for the right template already for months… but i think it is possible to customize the ready-made template in the way you need or to find a web designer and order a new unique template. what do you think?
