Hello everybody!

We are new to ThemeForest as authors and enjoy our work here. And we have the following question.

Can someone buy on ThemeForest our HTML theme with Extended License, then convert it to a WordPress theme and start selling it here on ThemeForest or somewhere else? Because we don’t want this :) Clearence on this topic will be much appreciated!

Thanks everyone!

Following Decneo’s link we’ve just found a clear quote from a new License FAQ: You can buy an HTML site template, convert it to WordPress, and use it as your website (but not as a stock template for sale).

That’s a great relief :)

Read the question “If I purchase an extended license of an item, can I include it in a project that I will sell?” and answer on it (par.3) from this page http://notes.envato.com/general/extended-license-changes-part-1/

When you modify the item to create a similar item, get permission from the author, and only sell on the Envato marketplaces

I think: No, not allowed, but…
Yes, it’s possible with some conditions:

1.Someone need to get the permission from you (author) for that
2. And only sell End work on the Envato marketplace!

I saw some examples on themeforest.net

This is one of them:
(different Envato authors/same theme design)

WP theme by purethemes http://themeforest.net/item/centum-responsive-wordpress-theme/3216603

I apologize, if this explanation seems unnecessary
