Do you mean like custom meta boxes?

There are actually better alternatives for custom meta boxes. Here’s a few:

Yeah. The way I am building my theme, the user would set up a page however they wanted using a layout manager which shows up on all pages and then set that page as their homepage. I need some way for them to be able to set up a slider on whichever pages they want but with slider settings being located in the main theme options it only works to set up one slider.

That’s not possible with SMOF as it wasn’t intended to be used in that manner. You will need to custom build those sliders into the pages’ metabox.

Has anyone figured out how to use the layout manager in SMOF ? I have been trying for days to get it to work properly with posts. I have it displaying but I think it’s wrong because when I delete a post, everything goes wrong. I haven’t figured out how to put the loop in the switch statement. Anyone know?

Nope. There are already too many plugins out there for that. :)

Hi guys,

I just updated the license to GPLv3 and a linkback is now required. Please refer to the updated README file for more details.

The reason that I had to do this is because apparently authors here are not too big on showing appreciations to people for their hard works, not a simple thank you, let alone a proper credit. If you noticed several WP themes on the “Popular Files” had this framework, but none of them actually credited me for anything.

I know, I told people that “a linkback would be nice”, but I assumed people would just use common sense. How hard can it be, seriously?

Please, if you want me to continue investing my time & energy to improve the framework and providing free support for it then you need to give me enough reasons to do so. I haven’t updated the framework for a while now, I think you can probably guess why.

Thanks :)

100% agre with you. Really you did a great work and if you want you can sell it easily but you had open the code for us but no one give a link back to you. Its really disgusting. I think we need to give respect on other work and his creation. Its just a simple thing the creator want from its user and someone is not doing it. Did you think if there no one will give his work to use another then how much we need to straggle to do work? It will be like make a wheel from scratch every time.

Really awesome to see the framework becoming 100% community-driven now. The amount of works and support people like Smartik, Dovy & all the other great guys continuously putting into it is just simply astounding. :)

Respect!
