My Mac is a PowerPC. Huh huh. But its POWER PC . It can flex. LOL .

I haven’t checked if this is true, but doesn’t Snow Leopard require Intel architecture?

Snow Leopard REQUIRES Intel processors – upsetting as I have an older G5 Imac as well as my mac pro intel – but hey – the reason for me replying was also this:

Install the FULL snow leopard from the $29 disk if you are still on tiger (not sure there are many left) but this means for $29 you get the FULL upgrade without having to do anything – you skipped having to buy Leopard – you lucky so-and-so’s:

I thought my G5 had an Intel processor. It has been about 3 years since I checked last about that. I have Leopard, but if what you mean is that G5’s can’t have Snow Leopard on them, then I guess I’ve reached my OS potential limit… aside from all of the software updates.

Yeah. You are right. I just checked on apple’s website for the G5 specs. It plainly states, G5 PowerPC processor architecture. Well, I guess I’ve reached my OS limit with Leopard. A MacPro would be nice.

I’m new to the mac scene, how do you know whether or not you have tiger or leopard etc? Or is it just a new version of the software. I assume I have leopard on my macbook pro.

I’ll try it later.
For I heard of the Snow Leopard is in conflict with some Adobe product. Anybody here knows the details?

Click the apple (top left), then About This Mac. It will say “Version 10.X.X” right under the big Mac OS X text.

10.4.X = Tiger
10.5.X = Leopard
10.6.X = Snow Leopard
10.7.X = Kitty Cat :-P
