this month i got 50% more sales than previous 6 months.

what changed ? i had free file of the month, featured item and items in Popular Files.

since i don’t believe showing is enough (but is necessary), i keep asking myself if buyers can ever find what they are looking for.

yup its all about exposure… I’ve noticed I can get $100 more per day for just having a new file on the homepage, even if that new file does not sell at all.

I think there are so many files here, it’s not easy for buyers to find your files, unless it’s right in their face..

Well sure it helps, I suppose the most active you are helps as well. But that’s how electronic stock works, it is hard to find what you want to purchase if there are 50,000 different files to choose from.

I think it’s important to also use key tag words on your files so they come up on search(if it works :P )

search sucks in here….I use google and attach the word of the marketplace to what I’m looking for and got better results…

I guess yes.

I have two of my files camping in the popular list which are giving me a modest constant flow of sales. Everytime I upload something new the overall sales are boosting for a month or two. I’ve installed lately also analytics on my pages to study my target for the incoming files. I get thousands of hits per day without even a bit of advertising.

Now I’m understanding why most authors are using those thumbnail mosaics in the item description. Like DS said, exposure.

I think the key is “items in the popular pages”. I feel being featured (file or author) does not make such a difference. I was featured few months ago i only noted more followers, not more sales.

The point posted by Daniel_R (one of our best and involved buyers) is really preocupant.
