Most of the icons that come with themes arent usable (atleast in my part of the world)
dribble? Deviant? stumbleupon? fforst?... why would people that dont develop sites need these? and the ones needed by everyday users are never there…youtube, pinterest, etc…
I have themes with 15-20 icons built in and often only 4 are usable! and even then they are choices I wasnt looking for except maybe YT. Cant this made so the people put their choice of icons in after purchasing? its bad enough footers are often 100% ignored, but the installed icons are becoming that too!

CanCars saidNo, nothing sensitive:))) As for me, your question is right and objective, I am also wondering whether social networks side of life is so important (or/and obsessive) that must catch the entire piece of a webpage. But maybe it is for me social networks have zero importance, for other people it has sense. As for dribble, deviant icons…well, huge amount of templates as if are targeted designers, once again, as for me, designers themselves are able to design their own websites, but probably there is some secret logics in designing templates for designers, logics that I am unaware about…

Haha you’re right and I am addressing it in some of my own themes as well. For the most part, as Virtuti mentioned, a lot of the themes on ThemeForest are targeted for designers or individuals making their own websites, which would make sense to include those types of icons. You could edit the images by uploading your own and adjusting the links, if you went into the css, though it would be cool to have a social link shortcode generator where an image and link can be selected.
