Soft Disable

This morning i found out that 2 of my items were “Soft Disabled”... what does it means? I didn’t receive any email with the reason of the disable! so i have this message near my item: “This item is currently hidden. To have it reviewed to be available for sale, please use the ‘submit for review’ button on the edit tab. If your item was rejected, please ensure you have addressed all issues outlined by the reviewer.”

But i don’t know what’s the problem! :-/

Shoot Support a notice and they will give you further information about the case.

You may have used the word copyright, or have left some logos or model images in your file which could be the reason for the soft reject.

Where they “soft disabled” or “soft rejected”? I haven’t seen a “disabled” item yet.

There should be a “history” in your hidden items and that should contain any messages from the reviewers.

yeah I saw the history, there’s nothing wrong.. also they’re 2 items that has been approved almost 1 year ago.. so I don’t see the problem.. I contacted the support.. I’ll wait the answer!

Same thing happened to me today. I was surprised when I checked my profile and discovered that one of my files is missing so I had to go to hidden files and saw it there “Soft disabled”. I was a bit confused because that item has been there since 3rd week of Dec and has procured sales. Had to message ‘support’ and still waiting for the update.

The files have been flagged up (quite rightly) on another forum.

Authors are not allowed to use images in their files or preview images where they are not licensed to do so. So all those preview images of film stars, musicians etc are not allowed.

Envato and authors have both been quite lax in this regard but it seems that this might be changing now…

Well, it could be worse! If you’ve been using preview images you do not have a licence for they could also shut down your account. So a quick change to the preview image may not be the worst deal

Yeah you’re right! But at least they must give a big “warning” email e give you time to edit all the previews before shutting down the account!

oh well.. it seems I’ve got lot of work to do..
