I remember what i was doing when kaypso was released, like when Kennedy was assassinated it was that good. in the comments, about the third comment it was noted for all to see, including envato that kalypso was already in use. what took someone so long to complain…
What about KALIPSO with an I ?

I do agree that giving the author a notification before disabling the theme would have been better, but I’m happy to hear Envato is trying to preserve our theme’s branding. I actually put a lot of time into the naming of my items because I think it’s important.
It’s frustrating to see authors using names of existing popular items to try and “steal” some of the brand recognition for more sales. I’m not saying that was the case here, but we do see it happen a lot. I hope this is a new policy that will be enforced more diligently going forward.
- Sold between 250 000 and 1 000 000 dollars
- Won a Competition
- Author was Featured
- Item was Featured
- Most Wanted Bounty Winner
- Bought between 100 and 499 items
- Referred between 200 and 499 users
- Romania

I’m perfectly ok with unique theme branding, i (and most authors) have no problem whatsoever. But unfortunately they’re not trying to do this. From what i saw, it’s just a robotic action taken when someone opens a ticket or something like this. I personally didn’t knew there was such rule because there are plenty duplicates and for sure there will be in the future, however i had back luck and now i tried to warn others about this.

Hey guys, I just got my latest item soft disabled for having a non-unique name.
How dare they do that to a fellow Joomla template developer!
lol…anyway, I find that coming up names is getting harder each time, just like trying to find the right domain name (especially with domain name squatters). Generally when I come up with a name, I do a look in Google for theme and templates with that name or similar and then try to find something that is not used. Pretty soon we will be naming themes with bar codes

If you read closely i didn’t bitched about that. I was angry by the fact that a new unwritten rule came out and you dont get warned at all, so i’m warning others. If anyone thinks that’s a joke it’s his business.
