This is my soft rejected logo:

And these are reviewer reasons:

Reason 1: This item needs some modification before being accepted to the marketplace. Alternate Version: For added buyer value, it’s a good idea to include both a vertical and horizontal version.

My opinion on reason 1: There are lots of logos aproved before mine and after mine that dont include both vertical and horizontal versions, these are some examples:

http://graphicriver.net/item/silverglobe-modern-sphere-logo-template/3903346 http://graphicriver.net/item/freedom-mind-logo/3795369 http://graphicriver.net/item/love-video-logo/3791881 http://graphicriver.net/item/moto-logo-template/3787221

Reason 2: Company Name Length: Many company names are 2-3 words long, and some buyers may want to see how a logo appears with a company name of that length before purchasing. Consider updating the number of words in the company name.

My opinion on reason 2: I dont have problem with reson 2, so it is ok for me

Reason 3: Tagline /Tagline Too Small: Please include a tagline/slogan line on all variations of this item. If you have already included a tagline, please make sure that it is large enough and will not cause any readability concerns when viewing or printing the logo in small situations.

My opinion on reason 3: The logo have a tagline, it is the word “studio”, not sure why reviewer is asking me to add a tagline. These are examples of approved logos without tagline:

http://graphicriver.net/item/cloudlove-logo-template/3783445 http://graphicriver.net/item/smile-food-logo-template/3757970 http://graphicriver.net/item/king-and-queen-logo/3763622

Reason 4: Color Version/Variation Recommended: Most buyers will be looking for a color logo. Consider adding color to this item (or a color variation) to make it more appealing to buyers.

My opinion on reason 4: “Consider adding color to this item” was he reviewing a different logo? the logo have color!!! “or add a color variation”, these are some examples of logos with no color variations:

http://graphicriver.net/item/game-center-logo-template/3795754 http://graphicriver.net/item/sparkling-company/3793559 http://graphicriver.net/item/family-resource-centre-logo/3853679 http://graphicriver.net/item/eco-world-logo-template/3789474

Reason 5: All Variations in 1 File: For the ease of buyer usage, please include all logo variations in a single file. You can separate variations logically by grouped/named layers. Please make all logos visible, rather than stacking and hiding layers.

My opinion on reason 5: I’m ok with this too, theres no problem here, i can put all the logos inside the same file.

Reason 6: Flat Color Version Gradients, Opacity and other effects may not work well in all print situations. Considering including an additional variation with flat/solid colors.

My opinion on reason 6: Well i included a black and a white version of the logo, it can be changed to any color with 1 click. And again there are approved logos using gradients that dont included flat color versions, for example:

http://graphicriver.net/item/silverglobe-modern-sphere-logo-template/3903346 http://graphicriver.net/item/sparkling-company/3793559 http://graphicriver.net/item/wellbeing-relaxation-logo/3774310 http://graphicriver.net/item/enertex-logo/3718149 http://graphicriver.net/item/kaka-gi-logo/3597696

Why did they reject my logo while approved others with the same “problems”?

What do you think guys?

Welcome to the world of pain. It is a bit of a mystery why some get accepted and others not especially when you see some of the ones that get accepted.

I have a similar problem with a missing text file to state where the fonts can be located. I added it but the file keeps being sent back saying I have done nothing. (When all they asked for was the text file to be added). It is very frustrating.

When it happened before I did what you did and opened a ticket and gave there feedback back to them with a written explanation of what had been done. (After going backwards and forwards couple of times doing this the file was eventually let through but there was no explanation as towny the same file that was passed was rejected before. Sometimes i wonder if the reviewer comments are actually read or if they get annoyed that you are trying to explain that you had made changes that they just hit the fail button).

Yes mate, I feel you, in the end the logos end up destroyed after all the modifications that you need to do to the logo in order to get accepted. Btw, your logo is quite cool.

Hey there,

I like the logo as it is, but unfortunetly i have to agree with 2 of the points from reviewer.

First one is the company name. You have the name closed in the shape so it will be difficult to use for company with longer name. This is the main reason why I think it was rejected.

Second one is the reason 6. I don’t agree that gradients are bad for printing and You have included the black and white version, which are ok. I think the problem with printers is with opacity. I don’t know if You have set opacity on all of your elements to 100, but imo it is a must. If You have set the opacity to 100, then I can’t see any problem with this reason.

Just my opinion.

Good luck with this one ;)
