I think you’ve got general placement down, but you should work more on alignment of your text. Here’s an example of things I did to improve the alignment of text for one of the projects I’m submitting. It’ll give you a more clear idea of what I’m talking about regarding text justification, tracking and line-spacing, invisible boxes etc…

Original Style: (Text centering only)

Updated Style: (Text centered, aligned, and justified via tracking/line-spacing)

I think the text and image components to your design can fit better together and look less “disconnected” (as your reviewer said), by utilizing this kind of text and element placement.
