Soft Rejection ?

Hey .. my portfolio theme was rejected and i got this :

“1. Your file has some well done design concepts, however it does not meet the current and very stringent quality guidelines and we can not accept your file at this time. You will need to make some additional improvements in overall aesthetics and aspects such as typography, graphics, and spacing.

2. There are a few inconsistent spacing issues throughout the design. I’d like you to go over it with a fine toothed comb and weed out these basic design issues.

3. Overall template’s typography needs additional refinements and improvements before it will be ready for sale. The template will need also improvements in visual hierarchy primarily using typographic elements such as headings.

4. Even with the current design, a significant increase in the polish of the various aspects of the template may just swing the decision in your favor.”

Is this is a soft rejection ? do i have a real chance ?

I’m working on the theme right now and feedback is highly appreciated .

A soft rejection is if your item is already set up with an item details page and all your images but only hidden and you will be able to update it through the item details page without uploading the text again. They will tell you the link of your item already set up in the rejection email.

The topic of the email should then say “Your uploaded item xxx needs improvement” instead of “has been rejected”.

But by looking at your reviewer’s message and your demo I don’t think this was a soft rejection.

This was not a soft reject but that does not mean you don’t have a chance. Resubmit once you have “polished” the various aspects mentioned by the reviewer.

One thing I noticed was the tiled background border_top.png overlaps slightly. The circle links on the right need something, maybe a shadow or border.

Lots of other things you can fix but I am sure you will get it. Just don’t give up.
