I’d just like to share this recent experience, hoping to get some insight into this kind of review process.
My latest submission was SOFT-REJECTED because of typographic issues. So for another 6 days, I improved its typography and resubmitted the update. Now, 2 days later the template gets HARD-REJECTED?! Reason: “You already have too many template with the exact same concept and animation/functionality.”
I cannot follow to be honest. This was just wasting my time. Couldn’t you tell me that in the first place?!
In addition, I really wonder whilst there are thousands of simple multi-page templates with the same layout, why I can create only four one-page templates that utalize a filterable/animated navigation for the whole site?
Thank you for sharing your opinion.
I’m sorry to hear that. May we see the demo of the project?

I had the exactly same experience ~ 10 days ago. I do believe that the review process needs some improvements. The second rejection should be a soft too or the very first one should be a hard rejection.
But don’t give up mate, I was struggling with this for a few days, and after I decided to move on and make more improvements, my item got approved in the 2nd submission.
Hi ppandp, I think it was soft rejected from “Is the desihn high quality?” which was the first step in item review and hard rejected from “Is the concept unique?” a second step. I think if you extend this with some unique graphics and maybe add some pages it will be ok.
