Some help needed

Got a question. Scenario: you have more than one computer. You design / work in more than one computer. Is there any software or online solution to share fonts between computers?

I’ve been traveling a lot lately and sometimes I work here and there and I usually need to reinstall all the fonts that I have in my office mac. They way I go now, is for every project / client folder I have, i put also a folder call “fonts” so whenever I have to travel, take the whole folder into a portable HD but sometimes I just forget about the fonts and need to re-download/install the fonts again.

Hmm..i don’t know if this will help but you could use Extensis Suitcase. You can make a cd/dvd with all of your fonts and take it with you. (it’s easier to carry than a hd) And when you want to use a font you simply load the fonts from the cd to your program and activate/deactivate which one you need/don’t need.

It doesn’t answer your question but it could spare you a lot of time with the instalation of fonts.

You can always use online sync utilities like Dropbox and Windows Live Mesh to sync your files online.. I recommend you the latter. Have a go

Amazon S3, Dropbox or any other service to store your back-ups online .. This way you can just pick what you need and go with it

Use Dropbox, its the best cloud based file sharing system you can get! I’ve never had any issues with it.
