Envato needs to sort out their review standards. Some things get accepted that are poor quality, and other get rejected that are higher quality.
I think it’s about time envato dealt with this problem!
(By the way I’m not posting this because I got rejected, because I didn’t. I’m posting it because I know of others with decent items that got rejected.)

Thank you mate

The reviewers need to do a better job communicating why a file is being rejected too.

As i know you are the head of the reviewers can you tell me if this is the right way to say to an author? Consider if this was told to a new author and not me…
“Please do not resubmit until you improve the item accordingly.”
I was essentially told the same thing once.

I don’t think that’s necessary. Writing detailed explanations for every rejection would take ages. I think those standard e-mails are the best solution. Plus, there are tons of really poor quality submitions, they can’t afford losing so much time giving those authors detailed explanations.
Anyway, I’m glad you’re working on the quality standars. GraphicRiver really needs that. I don’t care if I’ll get rejected more often. Contrary, it would help me.

I’ve noticed an increase in quality and also had really good sales this week, maybe because there have been more files rejected?

I think the reviewer was just suggesting you not re-submit the file before tweaking it first, which makes sense in avoiding disappointment and making the best possible use of reviewers time.
