I can save you the time, as usual they will not say much and will ignore from the overall negative trend and will talk about games and more games cos that’s the only thing they can talk about without developers trashing them.

It’s amazing how Lee Brimlow suddenly become a flash game expert, that’s what happen when people afraid loosing there job, they become flash game expert :P

Flash will not be saved by changing it to a game platform… the battle was lost from the first day…

Exactly, we get no more Flash requests. No clients wanting Flash means no Flash work. I removed FDT from my dock months ago. :(

^No worry…. if i was in his position at Adobe i will do the same A.S.P. but as time goes by look like they will talk only to there on workers on each Event :P .

Let you know Matt i was in mobile Unity presentation last week, was amazing to listing even if it’s beyond my scoop in general , what shock me that most 60-70 % from the student there came/shift from the flash world, you can just feel the sudden negative from most flasher`s regarding Adobe and there bad shift direction …..

well its not fun for for me with flash this days sure.

The main jobs right now as i see with flash (not games) is mainly with media server or flash integration with 3 party elements and that s* is not easy and for sure not appropriate for the freelance world, also Flex took a huge hit(maybe not in Italy cos` Marco is happy :P ).

you still have a lot of solo flash portfolio like photographer music to meatiness atc` to handle but really its rare making new cool flash stuff today , but don’t get me wrong ….the freelance flash world is getting dry so fast almost like the dead sea (and we all know the dead sea is the lowest point on plant earth ) .

The only flashers that will float above the water are those who do or have flash maintenance account like replacing/making flash banners on major sites or video/music (music is still big with flash) players making or flash integration and that was always my bread as a flasher on the fluent run, a steady income, smart business if you ask me …. One of my major accounts is for a large site with 2-2.5 million hits a month they use tons of flash and they have their own versions for mobile, that’s what most major sites do anyway but for fast refreshing side banner or more small flash elements stuff needs on a popular site there is really no other solution as to flash on the fast making.

Any way flashers the way i see it are existent race :P ….

If you ask me today if you are a freelance, good with coding and designed the only “safe” place on the long run is with HTML ……

Flash is going the same way as the java applet.

It’s not a case of if Flash will die out, it’s more a case of when.
