Strange reason of rejection!

I made a project with some falling baubles where i didn’t want to use snow, instead i used some good looking particles which gave a jolly look. The easiest way is to put some snow – and project finished.

Reason of rejection is removing blurry particles and adding snow! My reaction: ?

The only thing i hate when making a design is following some rules. It is up to author if he wants to use snow, particles, stars, glowing dots etc.

I didn’t want to discuss about item, i just wanted to point that every designer has it’s own design principles, different angle of viewing a subject, different point of view about Creativity term or saying in other words – different aspects of creative thinking. Saying to someone about his peace of work “I don’t like this in your creation” does not have to mean that he is right – he/she is just watching it in different way not being able to see it from authors perspective!

You have to respect what they say. You might be mad that your file was rejected because you think it looks better this specific way…but in all likelihood your file would probably never sell.

Mikka, yes, it happens. Just try to write your opinion to a reviewer and upload your project again. Maybe your explanation will change the point of reviewer and your project will be approved, this also happens.

Yes, I also have had several strange rejections lately. No complains or arguing just the opportunities to try selling nice rejected items somewhere else.

I’m not saying is the case here so theoretically:

Maybe the effect you used looks “cheap”. Think at default Photoshop styles. So probably you like it but the reviewer needs an item that looks professional so he asked you to add something that looks like snow not like some default effect.

Hi Wayman, first thing it came to my head was writing a letter to reviewer, but i don’t know… i had earlier similar soft rejections like at the end of project instead writing: “Your username here” i wrote “Your usernmae here” shifting accidentally 2 letters etc! Often when writing i lose a lot of time by arguing with reviewer and sometimes some nerves too lol… so i decided to make more than one version adding two kind of snowflakes indeed keeping my first version too , but i had to write at least here my opinion showing not really being happy to be interfered this way.

One of my holiday project is reject – now this one is Free on youtube – because of that – I have sales and sales:)
