Style.css missing

Hi all,

I just bought i theme here, and I got the ‘style.css’ missing. I tried following the other threads here, and when I unzip my file, I cannot find the style.css in either folder. Therefore, can’t figure out if it’s actually missing, which folder is the theme to upload via ftp, etc.

Can anyone help this newcommer?

What item did you purchase? Are you sure it’s a WordPress theme?

Well first of all cudos for actually searching the forum before posting, if only everyone would do this.

Basically you did everything right and there are only two possibilities.

1. You overlooked the style.css file in one of the folders, since every wordpress theme has one of those.

2. You bought a html theme by accident, those dont neccessarily have a style.css file and cant be used with wordpress anyway.

It would help if you could post a link to the item here.

What are the folders inside the zip?

You may be looking for a zip file (likely something like photolux.zip), rather than a directory with a style.css in it.

Ok, this is a wordpress theme so you have to have overlooked the file, please check every folder again and you should be good to go.

Also, check the documentation – it should be noted in there which file is the actual theme

I found another .zip file, and now found the folder I was looking for. Now I hope this works
