The Author Dashboard recently changed, and I quite like it, except ( IMHO ) it looks a little untidy at the top.
Just a suggestion, if the “Choose Item Type” title is removed and placed on the drop down instead, the bounding box could line up nicely with the “This Week’s Stats” box

Nice Idea, but when you upload an item, the “Currently processing uploads” box line up with the current “Upload an item” box.
