For desert: apple flaps with vanilla ice. Apple flaps are extremely easy to create by yourself (it is always nice to be able to say you did them, right), and very tasty. I make them about once a week. You’ll need some puff pastry leafs, cinnamon, sugar and apples, of course. Wrap it up, put it in the oven for about 15–20 minutes at 200°C.
It’s quite cheap too. Puff pastry leafs are sold for €1.09 per package (good for 8 flaps). Apples, I prefer Jonagolds, are currently €0.89 per kilo.
