First of all don’t take the assumption that if one item in the marketplace is bugged then all are.

Also around 90% of the support tickets I get aren’t my script’s fault for example. They are usually made by the user’s previous scripts, that drop an error for example and prevent other scripts to run, or a small detail that wasn’t correctly explicit in the documentation or that is but some users simply don’t like to read the documentation. Some even complain for an item not having a feature that is explicit in the description that doesn’t exist.

I’m not saying it’s always the user’s fault, but most scripts end up having flaws here and there and I think all authors should give the minimum support for their items.

Finnaly the approval of an item is quite strict on codecanyon, and believe me they do go through everything, but there is simply no easy way to test a script for all possible cases.

Again I say, you just had a bad experience and I agree that you feel frustrated, but buying stock items/scripts always have that risk but for the price you pay is a very good risk, some templates on TF for example that cost 50$ here could cost you 10.000$ custom made. If you don’t like the system here feel free to ask for that same item to any developer, and I’m sure he’d give you a budget of at least 10 times the price you paid here.

Not saying its compensates, you should still ask for an explanation to the author and if the script doesn’t work and the author doesn’t answer report the author to envato and they should take action of course.

Just my two cents :P

Man you’re doing way to much acid, READ THE THREAD!!!!!!!

I DONT CARE ABOUT ITEM SUPPORT, this is about Envato passing bugged items and making you wait weeks for an answer and giving your money back.

whats bugs?, XSS, SQL Injection, Code Injection, RFI… YES, I have found this sort of bugs in many scripts currently on sell…

Do you get it now?, shall I draw it for you?.

Jesus, no one is being rude with you, please control yourself I’m just trying to help.

Reading the post you just say you’re unhappy with how the support is made by the authors and envato when a script is bugged. It’s not my concern what kind of bug it is, if it’s a security one you should have checked if the item had those security features before buying, simple as that.

Relax, drink some tea, no one is accusing you of anything nor you have to speak to me like that when I was just trying to calm the situation and explain you my point of view. I never said you were wrong I just mentioned what usually happens in my experience.

So basicly you are stating that every person that want to buy an item should Pentest it by himself, yeah, thats sounds about right.

Since it looks like this is turning into a yelling match I’m going to have to lock it down. Thanks.
