What do you mean? As in should you use a transparency hack? or just not support IE6 at all?

Depends on the type of theme. I, personally, would try and do it for my theme. It’s not like it takes too long to do. You might get an extra 5 purchases in the long run. :)

I Would also try to make it work. But for an ie6 user, i guess that doesn’t make any difference as they don’t care about the basics such as a decent browser.

The reason people still use ie6 is because we still put a lot of effort on making things work on it, although i do it too, hehe

Cheers.

just do either the PNGfix of export out as a png8 and be done with it – then call the png8 in for ie with it’s own css file that you will no doubt have to have for the padding issues etc :).

Yes, support IE6 image transparency. It is actually required so I’m not sure which templates you’re talking about but I’ll have a look.

I test every HTML template for IE6 compatibility during review, if there are many images that don’t have IE6 image transparency support then the template isn’t approved. However, what happens on their live preview is a different story since Theme Forest doesn’t control that. Also, if a template only has a few minor images without transparency support then I recommend fixing them but if it’s nothing major then I don’t require it before approval.

To clarify for everyone, IE6 image transparency is required.
