I had some questions about the SWIFT transfer process, and I don’t want to bother the excellent support staff so I figured I’d ask here.
Basically, I’m selling on TF very soon and I was originally planning on using PayPal. I changed my mind since PayPal has huge fees and everything…
How long does the SWIFT transfer take? Do you still get your money on the 15th of the month? A few more days wait is fine for me. Is it very hard to do every month, like do you have to enter your bank details every month or how does it work?
Thanks!

Swift takes about 5-7 working days depending on your country.
35$ fee for it, plus any other fee the bank may have for receiving a transfer (in another currecny).
Balance need to be over a limit before its possible (500$ maybe)
One your details are confirmed by Envato (required on your first transfer) they will be saved for use in other months
Using SWIFT the money is usually in my account by the 18th (I don’t think it has ever been later than that). It’s easy to do. You fill in the form on the withdraw page the first time and from then on you can just select the saved bank account details each month when you request the payout. My bank has never charged me a fee for the transaction.

You may find the SWIFT bank fee’s are equal to PayPal. But they’re always changing (especially with the exchange rate) so it’s very difficult to say “that one is better”.
There was a post on the forum a while ago where someone did a comparison between the three payment methods, but I cannot find it sorry.
Maybe closer to your first months withdrawal you can jump onto paypal and check with your bank to compare the fee’s and choose which will be better for you.
I use this link (login to paypal first) to check how much AUD I will receive after USD conversion each month: https://www.paypal.com/au/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_convert-currency-generic&initial_amount=1000&initial_from_currency=USD&initial_to_currency=AUD if that helps.

Well Envato is USD and I’m USD so that shouldn’t be a problem, right?

I’m using SWIFT and I pay an additional fee for the international transfert but it wouldn’t be the case for you I guess if you have a US account. I’m really happy with that, it’s fast, reliable and always on time. I’m a paypal hater so I’m not really objective

+1, for non USA person like us here, paypal is not good when you try to transfer thousands USD from Envato to our paypal account… SWIFT works well for us…
If anyone has issues transferring too much money to their account, feel free to transfer the rest into my account. I won’t charge you any fees to do so
