I just got word from our crack Envato development team that there’s been a slight delay on rolling out the tagging-based search system. It appears there are still a large amount of files without tags and we want to give everyone enough time to benefit from the new search system.
So get those file updates in! If your file does not have tags, when the new search system is implemented, your file is much, much less likely to appear in searches. If the buyer can’t find your file, they can’t buy it!
Any future updates on tag search implementation will be added to this thread. Happy tagging!

so is the new search only based on tags?I highly doubt it, otherwise you wouldn’t be able to search for an item by it’s exact name

I read somewhere that it will put search on steroids so I think it’s will be just enhancing the current search methods.

How long are you guys delaying the launch till? Everyone already had fair warning about a week ago from Jeffrey to get all their items tagged up. I say roll it out and it will give all the others a reason to start tagging their items.
