Sorry for the newbie post, but I need some direction. I’m looking to buy a theme for (my first) website that allows for minimal ‘job listing’ type functionality. Other than page look and feel, I have three desired functions: - I need a contact page that will allow a file upload (e.g. resume) - I need to allow for a changing list of jobs, possibily with each hyperlinked to a description page - I’d like eventually to have the job listings ‘searchable’ by keyword
Can smeone tell me if these functions are too advanced for Wordpress (versus HTLM )? If not, what functional characteristics are important in selecting a pre-designed theme that will provide or permit (at some later date) these functions?
Thanks

Hi!
I don’t know any theme like this here on themeforest, but this is what I googled, it’s a Joomla-based recruitment component:
http://www.joomlart.com/addons/components_and_modules/ja_job_board.html
DEMO : http://demo.jobboard.joomlart.com/
Maybe it will suit your needs, maybe not, but you can always hire someone for custom work, even on the template.

That’s pretty kewl… hhmmmm this Google thing sounds interesting (doh).
Thank you very much for taking the time to look, I didn’t know where to begin. Two more questions if i can: – Do you have any thoughts on the up/down side of using Joomla versus Wordpress…or HTML ?? – When finding a Joomla template, does it need any specific attributes to support adding a ‘component’ such as the one you found?
Thanks again

Hi and np! I have never used Joomla, so I am not the best person who can advise you on this topic…
Practice is a best teacher here. Find some free joomla template or buy some here on tf and try to incorporate there that component “somehow”

You could also take a look at http://www.jobberbase.com/ if the jobboard is all you need. Problem is you won’t find free templates, so you’ll need to build one.
Cheers.
[LE] It look there are a few templates out there, just google them: http://www.google.ro/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=jobberbase+templates
