Hi guys, as some of you may already know, it was recently announced in this thread that the marketplaces have a new core team. This means that instead of one Site Manager per marketplace, there’s now one group dedicated to all marketplaces.
That being said, I like to take the opportunity to publicly thank Amanda Hackwith, our beloved and unforgettable Site Manager, who gracefully contributed towards the well-being and effective evolution of GraphicRiver. It was through her incredible hard-work and impeccable professionalism that GraphicRiver has become what it is today. Not only successful as a business, but successful as a community. A community where respect and the willingness to help one another rises above all adversities.
Amanda, we are greatly thankful for all you’ve done. The transparent and positive impact you’ve made will linger on for many years to come, serving as a solid and profound pillar, not only for your successors, but for every author in this community.
Thank you for everything you’ve done for GraphicRiver.
Gutted! It’s all down hill from here
Dzinc pretty much summed it up, we’re all very fond of you and we’ll miss you around here. Good luck working on Rockable Press. I will be buying your Freelancing Secrets book as soon as it’s finished.
Amanda did a great job and was always very helpful and friendly. I wish you the best on your new position! Thank you!
Nice thing to do D’Zinc.
We really need to show our appreciation for all that Amanda has done for this community and hope you will still visit the GR forums.
Best of luck with Rockable Press, we all know you’ll do a great job there.
One thing i would like to add:
Aww! You guys are going to make me cry. And that’s bad for my tough girl image.
It’s been an amazing experience coming on board Envato just before GR launched and experiencing our growth from the newest kid on the block to a graphic design powerhouse. And I couldn’t have done that without the fantastic authors, reviewers, and buyers in our community!
I want to say it’s just been a true honor to help build GraphicRiver and the community here. You guys are just as responsible for our success as my efforts were. You guys have always blown me away with your innovation, enthusiasm, and investment in GraphicRiver and the work you do. The new site manager team is going to do a great job taking over things on my end,and the review team will continue to demand awesome files, but I know you guys will continue to influence where we go from here and continue to make GR a great community for designers.
I’m loving my new position at Rockable and there’s even some awesome design-oriented books in our future—stay tuned! My own book on freelancing is coming out next week. If you give it a go, make sure you SiteMail me and let me know what you think. With all the work at Rockable and in the Envato community, I’m still going to be around and kicking.
But for everyone in the GraphicRiver community: Thanks for the wonderful ride.
