it gives an additional inflow to my earnings :)

To other authors: how often do you have the extended license purchase?

Honestly, the referrals cuts I earn are worth more than the extended licenses I sell, but both are great. :)

I would like it if people who bought my items told me if I could improve on anything, give feedback or make suggestions so that I can improve the quality of my portfolio. Feedback, good, bad, or indifferent helps me to learn what works and what doesn’t.

You could encourage them to do so in the Documentation, and send them to your Item’s Comment page or to send feedback via e-mail. As for the extended license, I’m in the same boat with you, I earn more from referral cuts than from ext. licenses.

I never thought about that, thanks for the tip. :)

I haven’t made a single dollar from referral cuts yes. Of course, I haven’t tried too hard either. About licenses, I only sold 2 extended licenses out of 350 sales even though I have had like 10 people asking me if they could include one of my plugins on their themes.

I’m guessing im doing something wrong :(

No not really, it’s just that people don’t take you seriously enough to respect your time and work. People are gonna ask you to work for them for free. The next time someone asks you for a freebie or free labor and you’re not interested, reply with this:

“I’m sorry, but I can’t promise you that I’ll be good for nothing.”

If the person’s smart enough, he’ll understand that he can’t expect quality service for nothing. There is no free lunch in this world.

You cannot pay someone peanuts and not expect monkey business. :)
